Walk-in interview for Indian Nationals to work as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) in a research project funded by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR).

 

Title: Investigating the role of a novel regulator, MarB, in the regulation of the chromosomally encoded multiple antibiotic resistance (Mar) in enteric bacteria

 

Number of Positions: 1

Duration:  One year (extendable after review)

 

Essential Qualifications: BS 4 years/Integrated BS-MS/B. Tech or Masters in any branch of life sciences with 55% marks. Only candidates who have qualified NET and/or GATE test are eligible for this position. Research experience in microbiology, molecular biology, biochemistry, and bacterial genetics and physiology will be preferred.

Selection process: Applicants should appear for a walk-in interview on October 29, 2015, in office 3F8, Academic Block I, IISER Mohali. Applicants should bring a detailed bio-data (four copies), educational testimonials from class 10th onwards, proof of date of birth, proof of experience (if any) e.g., summaries of projects done and experience certificate of previous projects, caste certificate or handicapped certificate as the case may be, and NET and/or GATE certificate.

 

Schedule of walk-in interview: The interested candidates should report in the office of Department of Biological Sciences (3rd level, Academic Block 1) at 9:30 am on October 29, 2015.
