Below are some of the common questions asked by students

1. I want to book guest room in hostel, how to do that?

Booking of guest rooms in hostel are subject to availability. They are not available during the admission days. To book one, you can contact Hostel 8 caretaker Manoj Kumar.

2. Whom to contact if I'm facing some issue regarding my room or washroom?

You can contact Hostel 7 caretaker Mr. Satinder and register your complaint there. For any cleaning related complaints please contact Mr. Brijesh (Caretaker of Hostel 5)

3. Whom to contact if there's an issue in the night?

You can contact Mr. Santosh (Hostel 6 caretaker) as he is the night caretaker.

4. Whom to contact if health issues arise in night?

There's a nurse available in Hostel 5 you can aproach her, and if any emergency, then the ambulances are always there. You can find the contact number in the list on the contact us page.

5. I have lost something and I want to look at the CCTV footage, how can I access that?

Firstly, please take care of the belongings. In case if you want to get access to the CCTV footage, send an email to us, we will forward it to security and registrar for their permission. Only after the permissionyou can access that.

6. I have faced sexual harrassment or ragging, whom to contact?

IISER Mohali have a very strict policy against ragging and sexual harrassment. I case you have faced ragging you can contact the dean students office. If you have faced any kind of sexual harrasment you can contact ICC (Internal Complaints Committee)

7. What is covered in the Institutes health insurance?

8. When to contact a Hostel Representative if complaints are not solved?

Firstly, please register your complaint in Mr. Satinder's office. If your issue is not getting resolved by 1 - 1.5 week contact the Hostel Representative.
