Walk-in interview for the post of a JRF

Title of the project: “Novel Quantum Ground States in Nanostructured Devices and Bulk Materials:  Fundamentals & Application”.

Period: 1 year (can be extended up to 5 years).

Emoluments: As per DST rules.

Essential qualifications:

(a) MSc in Physics with NET (JRF) or M.Tech in Electronics and Communication

The candidates must also have experience with one of the following:

(a)    Handling liquid helium

(b)   Operating high-field superconducting magnets

(c) Piezo-response force microscopy

The candidates who do not have experience on any of the above will not be considered for the post.

The candidates must bring the following documents with them on the day of interview:

1. Original certificates confirming academic qualifications.

2. A hard copy of CV.

3. Two recommendation letters in sealed envelopes.

4. A write up (1000 words) on the research goals of the candidate clearly explaining why they are interested in this project.

Date of interview: 08/08/2017

Place of interview: AB-1, IISER Mohali. The candidates must report at room no. 1F3 before 9 am.
