Position: Project Assistant

Title of the Project: Investigation on the role of mesoscale phenomena in the plasma – neutral coupling of the thermosphere – ionosphere system

Duration: 6 months. Extendable to 1 year based on performance of the candidate

Emoluments: Consolidated salary of Rs. 15000/- per month. No other allowances are admissible.

Essential qualifications: M.Sc. in Physics / Atmospheric Sciences / Space Physics / Geophysics

Desirable qualifications: Working knowledge related to atmospheric measurements and data analysis / modelling. Some knowledge about the atmospheric dynamics, important upper atmospheric processes and geospace environment. Programming skills using Fortran and Matlab will be helpful.

Mere possession of essential qualifications alone do not warrant shortlisting of the candidate.
