Two positions of Project Assistants (PA) under
Centre for Protein Design and Engineering (MHRD CoE-FAST).
Project Title: MHRD Centre of Excellence - Centre for Protein Science, Design and Engineering (CPSDE) at the Department of Biological Sciences, IISER Mohali
Positions: Project Assistants (2) Duration: One year (extendable up to two years based on performance with salary enhancement as per rules)
Emoluments: Rs.14,000/-p.m. + HRA as per rules. CSIR-Net qualified applicants will be considered for enhanced fellowship.
Position 1 (One position): Selected person will be conducting research in protein sequence and structure analysis, molecular dynamics simulations and metabolic pathway analysis using network theory. Person will also be involved in development of databases and software.
Eligibility: M. Sc./B. Tech./M. Tech., who have completed their course in the past three years in any Science discipline (including Bioinformatics and Biotechnology) with grades 70% or grade B and having excellent programming skills. Experience of working on software like MATLAB, R, GROMACS/NAMD and experience of working on Linux/Unix/Aix OS system will be desirable.
Position 2 (One position): Selected person will be developing databases, software tools, and mathematical/computational modeling of biological systems.
Eligibility: M.Sc./B.Tech./M.Tech, who have completed their course in the past three years in any discipline in Engineering and Science (preferablyin Statistics-Mathematics/Physics/Bioinformatics) with 70% or grade B and above, having excellent programming skills, knowledge of biological data analysis, and/or experience in software and database development.
