Walk-in/Skype interview on August 2nd, 2015 at 10:00 AM for one Project Assistant position under CPSDE (MHRD-CoE-FAST) funding by Department of Science and Technology, India
Title of the project: Understanding the protein-protein recognition events using single molecule FRET
Benefits: The selected candidate will have exposure to state-of the art analytical techniques, like total internal fluorescence microscope and atomic force microscope under guidance.

Duration: Minimum one year
Emoluments: As per MHRD Fellowship rules
Essential Qualifications:
1. Masters in Physics or Chemistry with previous research experience in Physical Chemistry / Physics.
2. Candidate should also have either GATE Score (> 90 percentile) or CSIR-NET or INSPIRE Fellowship at the time of interview which can be utilized for admission in PhD in near future.
The candidate must be strongly motivated to work on the high-end optical and scanning probe microscopy based single molecule instrumentation and their applications in biophysical problems. Candidate will be asked to work on Instrumentation and automation as well as protein expression, purification and engineering.
A good communication skill in English and computer skill is highly desired.
The candidate will be expected to aid in grant and manuscript writing and collaborate with other projects in the lab.
