Title of the project: Viscoelastic Properties of Proteins in Mechano-Electrical Signaling for Hearing

Position(s): 01 (One)

Duration: One year (Extended up to 3 years)

Emoluments: Standard JRF Stipend

Essential Qualifications: M.Sc. in Physical Sciences / Chemical Sciences. The candidate must have also qualified one of the following: NET (JRF), JEST and/or DST-Inspire.

The candidate must be strongly motivated to work on the high-end optical and scanning probe microscopy based single molecule instrumentation and their applications in biophysical problems. Candidate will be asked to work on protein expression, purification and engineering under guidance. Having previous research experience on microscopes will be a plus.

A good communication skill in English and computer skill is highly desired.
