Application for the position of Postdoctoral Fellow at IISER Mohali in a research project funded by DBT/Wellcome Trust India Alliance

Title: Mechanistic insights into the regulation of fatty acid metabolism by envelope stress response pathways in bacteria

About the project: The project is focused on understanding the regulation exerted by envelope stress response pathways during aerobic metabolism of long-chain fatty acids in E. coli and examine the interconnection between long-chain fatty acid metabolism and envelope redox stress in pathogenic bacteria.

A complete list of publications from the lab is available at: https://www.chabalab.org/publications

About the lab: We are interested in identifying and characterizing new players and networks in bacterial metabolism. We use a diverse array of tools ranging from high-throughput approaches to candidate-level genetics, microbiology, molecular biology and biochemistry. More information about the lab is available at https://www.chabalab.org/
