Walk in interview for Project Assistant (PA) in a research project funded by MOEF-CC under the NCAP-COALESCE

IISER-Mohali (Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences) desires to engage a Project ASSISTANT on purely temporary basis on contract under the MOEF-CC sponsored research project at IISER-Mohali.

Name of Position: Project Assistant

Essential Qualification: MSc/MTech/Btech in any discipline.

Willingness to travel frequently to remote village locations and sites where informal industries operate for emission inventory surveys is a necessary requirement.

Ability to communicate in Punjabi, Hindi and fluency in English

 Desirable Qualification:

Prior analysis experience/hands-on training in conducting field surveys and collecting human activity data for emission inventory building

Ability to communicate in additional local dialects such as Haryanvi or Pahari.

Prior experience/hands-on training in the operation of aerosol multi-speciation samplers

Prior experience/hands-on training in operation of multi-wavelength aethalometer (Magee Scientific ME42)

Prior experience/hands-on training in of air mass history analysis (Hysplit back trajectory modelling)

Prior experience/hands-on training in emission inventory building is desirable.

Emoluments: As per MOEF-CC Rules.

Duration: Initially for 1 year and extendable subject to satisfactory performance by one additional year.
